什麼是性多元？

性多元 (sexual plurality )是台灣性／別解放運動發展出來、用以取代「性少數」(erotic minority) 的概念。性多元就是性解放的主體（一如女人是性別解放的主體，工人是階級解放的主體）。性多元通常被分類為「性偏差」或「性變態」。但是這兩者區分不大，因為，變態只是被病理化的性偏差行為而已；而性行為是否偏差則總是相對的，隨著社會既定性規範被抗爭而改變。例如過去手淫、口交、肛交、拳指交都被視為變態，今天則只被視為偏差或甚至正常。被壓迫的性多元要爭取解放，亦即，性多元要爭取平等與正義，這個性解放的鬥爭也需要對性多元的各種面貌有真切的認識，這是我們設立本板的原因。

 

性多元除病化！

性多元或性少數不是病態，也不是心理變態。目前國際正推動將性多元從世界衛生組織（WHO）的病理範疇中去除，以及從《美國心理治療協會之診斷統計手冊（第四版）》（DSM-IV）的病理列表上除名，這就是性多元的「除病化」運動。
