The
911 Incident is in the process of expanding, the strong global anti-war
voices from the social and popular sectors have not been able to prevent
the war from breaking out. Almost all analysts agree that the 911 Incident
has global impacts; it could mean that structural transformations are
taking place, and the Incident will be positioned as a landmark event in
global political history. This roundtable gathers together speakers who
come from social groups in Asia to address the following questions: What
have been the effects of the 911 Incident in Asia? What have been the
subsequent responses from the popular sectors and actions taken by
movement sectors? Together, we hope to pose the question: how do we
position this historical events and its lasting impacts in Asia?
